Pierre Loti, born in the coastal town of Rochefort, was a French reformed protestant, naval officer, is best known as a novelist. He was elected member of the “Académie française” in 1891. In his time he was considered an eccentric personality, thus this room has been reworked to evoke his different whims and unique experiences.
